Where to Celebrate Valentine's Day in Ventura, CA

The countdown begins! We have just five short days until V-Day. If you don't have a reservation yet, it's time to get in gear. Fortunately for you, Ventura has quite a few ways you can make your special someone feel, well, special! Here are just a few local date ideas for celebrating Valentine's Day 2018.
FOR THE ROMANTICS: Barrel 33. If you haven't done a date night at Barrel 33 yet, you're missing out. Parfait, le propriétaire, hails from France and it shows. You'll feel transported to The City of Lights from the second you step inside his red door. For the occasion, he's offering a 3-course prix fixe menu featuring options like warm goat cheese salad, Santa Barbara salmon pasta (which I highly recommend), and homemade creme brûlée. The menu is $148 per couple and that includes a bottle of wine (yes, you read that right). Not sure which wine to choose? Parfait is always ready with a fabulous recommendation.
FOR THE CHILL COUPLES: MadeWest. Looking for something more low-key? Head out for a pint and show your loved one that you have a big heart. MadeWest is currently donating a portion of their proceeds to Direct Relief's Thomas Fire and mudslide recovery efforts. Those donations end February 15th, so Valentine's Day is the time to capitalize!
FOR THE INTROVERTS: La Cosecha. Don't feel like braving the crowds on the 14th? You can still treat your special someone to a romantic meal at the new Mexican restaurant inside the Crowne Plaza. They're serving a four-course celebration dinner tomorrow through February 17th. Want to add a little something extra? Choose to go V-Day through the 17th, when they'll have live music. Bonus: if you time it right, you can walk the Promenade at sunset and stroll straight up to La Cosecha.
